Imam Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Ḥamzah al-Kisāʾī al-Naḥwī (d. 189 AH / Kufa / Baghdad, Iraq)
Head of the Kufan school of Arabic grammar and the seventh Imam among the Seven Canonical Readers. He studied under Imam Ḥamzah and refined specific phonetic traditions.
