Imam Abū Jaʿfar Yazīd ibn al-Qaʿqāʿ al-Makhzūmī al-Madanī (d. 130 AH / Al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah)
One of the early grand reciters of Madinah and the primary teacher of Imam Nāfiʿ. He recited directly to ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAyyāsh, Abū Hurayrah, and ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās.
