Isma‘il (Ishmael) إسماعيل
عليه السلام
Isma‘il عليه السلام grew up in Makkah after Ibrahim left him and Hajar near the Sacred House by Allah’s command. Zamzam became a source of life, and Isma‘il later helped Ibrahim raise the Ka‘bah’s foundations. The Qur’an praises him for keeping promises and commanding his family to pray and give zakah.
