Highest Canonical Standard
A narration with an unbroken chain of upright narrators (Adalah) with flawless precision of memory (Dabt), free from irregularities (Shudhudh) and hidden defects (I’lal).
Legally Binding
Meets all conditions of Sahih, except that one or more narrators in the chain have slightly lesser precision, yet remain trustworthy and free of fabrication. Accepted for rulings and practice.
Conditional Use
Fails to fulfill the conditions of Hasan due to discontinuity in the chain or narrator weakness. Classical scholars only permit narrating mild Da'if Hadiths for encouraging virtuous deeds (Fada'il), never for creed ('Aqidah) or declaring actions Halal/Haram.
